introduction

Greetings,

My name is Ryan. I first met Mark on Paltalk and since then we've had many interesting discussions and I hope to have many more on this forum.

To tell you a little bit about myself, I'm 20 years old, currently I'm attending college part-time. I was home-schooled so I never received a high school diploma. I'm in the process of trying for my GED at which point I can become a full-time student.

I am an aspie and a supporter of autistic rights so it is very exciting for me to join a forum where I can connect with like-minded individuals.

Hello all,
My name is Theresa,I am married and have 5 children. My oldest son was dx'd asperger at age 6,my next to the oldest daughter regressed into autism at 15 months of age,she is now labeled " high functioning". Of the five,all but one have autism traits. The one who does not has a different father. My official dx is ADD,however on Mark's aspie test I scored 165 out of 200.I believe my husband would score as an aspergian as well. We have similiar traits but to different degrees .
He certainly does much better socially than I do. He is a sales manager ,so he gets lot of practice although neither of us have maintained any lasting friends,other than each other.
We do not mind nor miss socialization. Our children are very interested in seeking friends and going out with people as they are teenagers. My son with aspergers is now able to be accepted socially . This is a recent development for him at age 17. My daughter trys very hard but she is so different from her peers that they do not accept her.
She verbalizes (talks to herself)almost constantly and often inappropriately. It alienates her from peers and teachers.
She seems to cognitively understand that she should not do it ,but cannot stop.
I worry for her ability to see when she is making others angry as they often think she is talking to them,and for being able to protect herself. If anyone has an ideas please let me know
